Hi! I really want to thank you for visiting the blog site and hope that it is very informative to you! My name is Catherine Berrouet and I am a dedicated University of Florida student, aspiring to graduate in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism, May 2010.
My ultimate goal is try to incorporate Recreation and Fitness/Wellness into the practical everyday lives of our “at-risk” youth, whether that be locally or internationally.
A lot of these kids don’t get enough attention, and need something to do. They also lack exposure to the several necessary components that help to develop the “well-roundness” of personalities within a being.
I would like to do City Year in Miami for at least 2 years in a row, to really advance my personal goals for the population of children I will be working with. Maybe even Peace Corps for 2 years after that… if not, I would just go to Haiti to do my mission.
All in all, I promise myself that “with every disappointment comes a challenge to overcome” and even then, humbly embrace my losses as stepping stones to success. Live for one another in grace and humbleness. Change the world by one heart at a time, showing that you care = that’s my MISSION.
